Here it is folks my first special from my coverage of Fan Expo 2011 that took place at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre from Aug 25 - 28, 2011. In this episode I take in the sights and sounds of opening day. Firsat up I am joined by fellow podcaster and writer Wayne as we talk to Brian Namanny who worked on the robots from Disney's upcoming movie Real Steel that premieres Oct. 7 at a theatre near you. The I meet up with artist Jim Su (www.beach-studios.com) who worked on the Canadian animated shows Reboot & Beast Machines by Mainframe entertainment. It's then time for me to catch up with Teddy Wilson and Ajay Fry from Innerspace as we discuss all things sci-fi and geekness and catch up on what is happening on the SPACE channel (www.spacecast.ca). I have a quick discussion with Courtney from Hasbro as we talk about a product they launched at the convention called Kre-o Transformers (www.kre-o.ca) . It's then a trip to the streets of Gothamm as I talk with Sarah from Rocksteady Games as we discuss the upcoming game Batman : Arkham City (www.batmanarkhamcity.com) coming out in October. I wrap things up for the day with a very quick interview with actor Larry Hagman who talks about his role as J.R. from the tv show Dallas. It's a trip to the mind of depressed man with the blu-ray review of The Beaver (courtesy of eONe Entertainment) as Walter played by Mel Gibson ues a puppet to sort out his life, directed and co-starring Jodi Foster. Thinsg get wrapped up with the dvd review of Smile (courtesy of eOne Entertainment) starring Armand Assante where a group of photography students dsicover a very deadly polaroid camera. This week features reviews of English law, a famous Canadian scientist, a washed up baseball player and phtogrpahers in dangerous situations.  First up it's a journey to 18th Century England with the dvd review of the UK series Garrow's Law Series 2 (courtesy of eOne Entertainment) as a young barrister fights for others and his own career.  Then we join scientist David Suzuki in the dvd review of Force of Nature : The David Suzuki movie (courtesy of eOne Entertainment) as he gives a lecture 70 years in the making.  It's a the road to redemption for down and out baseball player with the blu-ray review of HBO's Eastbound & Down : The Complete First Season (courtesy of Warner Bros. In this edition of the show features an unlikely freindship and worlds across the stars.  First up it is anoither movie from the Disney vault as you get the blu-ray/dvd combo review of 30th Anniversay of The Fox & The Hound (courtesy of Disney Home Entertainment)as this classic tale gets re-mastered and packaged with Fox & The Hound 2.  It's a leap to present day animation with the blu-ray/dvd combo review of Mars Needs Moms (courtesy of Disney Home Entertainment) starring Seth Green(sorta), Joan Cusak and Dan Fogler as a young boy journeys to the red planet to save his mom.  Then it is off to the lost city with my blu-ray review of Stargate Atlantis : The Complete Series (courtesy of Fox/MGM Entertainment) as this 20 disc release captures all of the action for the first time in high definition featuring comments from actor Rainbow Sun Francks from his press conference at Polaris 22 back in 2008.  .  I wrap things up with the dvd review of Stargate Universe : The Final Season (courtesy of Fox/MGM Entertainment) as the newest and possible last entry into the franchise comes to a close.  Music for this episode features the songs Like a Fox by Imaginitis, I Want to Go to Mars by To Touch The Stars & Tara Sings by Michael Stephens, they can all be found at www.blackstackmusic.com.
