I also comment on the sudden and tragic death of Canadian wrestler Chris Benoit who died in his home with his wife and son on June 25th. Here it is folks another special On the Road edition of the podcast. This week I make a short trip to the town of Lindsay for the 150th Charter Day Celebration. I take you through what it is like to attend such an event and speak with organizer Andy Letham, the mayor of Lindsay, Ric McGee and his wife Caroline and local town crier Bill McKee on the show. You will also get my impressions of the event and get to hear music preformed by the band Flashback who played for thw whole day. You will also get to hear the town crier in action and the official song of Lindsay preformed by a local singer called Bethany and on guitar Bob May. Another jammed packed show for you this week. On the menu for this week, you get a celebrity rant, killer plant and a budding author. First up you get my take on the whole Paris Hilton legal debacle and what I think of young hollywood and celebrity justice. Then it is off to the jungles of Mexico as I tackle the audio book review of the horror thriller The Ruins by Scott Smith as group of luckless travellers meet death by plant. My featured guest this week is the returning Leesa Barnes who is fresh off the heels of finishing her first novel Podcasting For Profit which will be hitting bookstores this fall. Hey folks another podcast fresh and ready from the oven. This week's audio book review is the latest Stone Barrington Novel, Fresh Disasters by Stuart Woods and then it is off to the movies as Rob and I review Pirates of the Caribbean 3 : At World's End and give our take on the swashbuckling adventure.
