Here it is folks my first special from my coverage of Fan Expo 2011 that took place at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre from Aug 25 - 28, 2011. In this episode I take in the sights and sounds of opening day. Firsat up I am joined by fellow podcaster and writer Wayne as we talk to Brian Namanny who worked on the robots from Disney's upcoming movie Real Steel that premieres Oct. 7 at a theatre near you. The I meet up with artist Jim Su (www.beach-studios.com) who worked on the Canadian animated shows Reboot & Beast Machines by Mainframe entertainment. It's then time for me to catch up with Teddy Wilson and Ajay Fry from Innerspace as we discuss all things sci-fi and geekness and catch up on what is happening on the SPACE channel (www.spacecast.ca). I have a quick discussion with Courtney from Hasbro as we talk about a product they launched at the convention called Kre-o Transformers (www.kre-o.ca) . It's then a trip to the streets of Gothamm as I talk with Sarah from Rocksteady Games as we discuss the upcoming game Batman : Arkham City (www.batmanarkhamcity.com) coming out in October. I wrap things up for the day with a very quick interview with actor Larry Hagman who talks about his role as J.R. from the tv show Dallas. Music for this week features the song Black Hole by Victor Stellar that can be found at www.blackstackmusic.com. Other instrumental music is by the band Mr. Burns (www.mrburnsmusic.com). As always your comments and suggestions are welcome.

P.S. Check out the Facebook page for the podcast where pictures from the convention will be posted soon
